Interviews can be stressful, or at least so I’ve heard. I’m going to a job fair tomorrow at school, and in order to best foot forward myself put, I’m going to write out my proposed interactions. Sort of a script, based on my limited knowledge of people, interviews, and myself.
Xerox, here I come.
So, I’m currently watching the Xerox X-factor testimonials. It’s a small selection of videos made by people who work at Xerox. I figure if I can see what they’ve posted, I’ll know what it is they’re looking for.
well, sorry. i gave up on this blog post. learned too much about Xerox, and how much money i’ll make. to sleep, perchance to dream, ferraris and boats and all kinds of maaaaaadnessss!!!
Posting on my blog seems like a pretty hard thing to do. I’m sitting here wondering what to write. No inspiration at all. What could I possibly tell you? Who are you? Why would I tell you things? It all seems so redundant and cliche.
But then isn’t that life?
I recently (today) read a blog post from http://drawgabbydraw.tumblr.com/ (follow her if you don’t, she has great style and is always interesting) discussing how artist should use inspiration. The post said that a true artist does not wait for the bite of inspiration, but rather shows up and gets it done. It was a quote from somewhere, I’m not sure where, but it really hit home.
Often we find ourselves looking for inspiration. The sheer number of “inspiration” websites is astronomical and grows daily. I can’t even count how many posts I get Newsfired a day.(I know, it counts them for me, shut-up) How inspired do I need to be, before I will actually go and use it? Or is that just the point, living inspired, just live.
I’d like to think that the point is one step further. Go inspire others. Believe that you can. And thinking that will probably take you further, and motivate you more than anything “inspiring” you find out there. Inspire yourselves.
Now, lets just hope I’m not a huge hypocrite.
Break a leg out there.
Hey,
I tried to remember why i started this blog.
I can’t.
But I’m going to start posting more, I hope.
I’d like to take this opportunity to attempt something. Very often, when an idea presents itself, I make a half hearted attempt, and then, rather than possible fail miserably by actually trying, give up.
-Lots of comas in the last sentence, I hope it makes sense to you-
Back to the point. I’m going to actually make it work this time. My first post, aside from this little blurb, will be shortly, maybe even tonight.
See you soon,
Peace
